What you bring to the team

Responsibilities

o Lead all technological, engineering, and architectural decisions, design a technical roadmap and work with co-founders to scale up the company.
o Lead the development, deployment, and delivery of the initial MVP, and all subsequent product iterations with consideration towards long term scalability.
o Recruit and build the in-house development team, as well as manage relationships with external technical agencies and freelancers.
o Communicate the technology of the company to investors, clients, and other stakeholders.
o Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
o Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
o Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.


Need To Have

o You believe in a long-term vision and can manage uncertainty
o Minimum 5 years’ experience software development with a focus on mobile apps
o You are a self-starting individual, motivated by team success, a sense of fun and you are good-humored under pressure.
o You have experience in software architecture and personally developed MVPs from ideation stage
o A strong product sense and can build engaging tech for users
o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate concepts in laymen’s terms to non-technical counterparts
o Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
o Experience working in an early-stage successful tech start-up, and/or a range of experiences within larger companies
o Have managed, mentored, and inspired a small team of engineers providing architectural guidance, code reviews, etc.
o Experience building machine learning products.

The Role

You will be our lead technical decision-maker – responsible for setting the technological tone and creating a solid technical framework. You'll be working alongside two other co-founders and focused on developing an MVP and designing a technical strategy and product roadmap. You'll need to be completely hands-on during the product build, but also capable of building out a team in the future. You’re also motivated in building a sincerely diverse and innovative work culture.
