I went from a city he knew and loved in a country where I was finally getting a handle of a language to pursue a job without a description, in a country I don't speak the language, and a city where I didn't know a single person.
Just a little latter, I am flourishing with a new group of friends, a job I am learning in a complicatedly interesting field, with a life style which is completely different than what I had before.
